Daniel Dowd, age 78 of Carthage died Sunday (June 2, 2013) at his home.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Reggie Crews.
Danny was born in Moore County to the late Walter and Ida Hannon Dowd. He worked as a farmer for most of his life.
He was preceded in death by: sisters Mary Alice Hendricks, Katie Pearl Hardy and Roberta D. Hamer; brothers Walter Elbert Dowd, Jesse Neal Dowd, Curtis Bryant Dowd and Richard Earl Dowd.
He is survived by: two sisters Virginia Dowd of Carthage and Cary D. Crews of White Rock, SC.
