Darrell McNeill, Sr., age 58 of Haw Branch Road died Thursday (November 29, 2007) at his residence.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Horseshoe Presbyterian Church conducted by Ronny and Alex Shelton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Rev. Joseph Neal McNeill and Lucy Mae Nall McNeill. For many years he owned on operated McNeill Construction. He had a strong love for his family, and enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to country and gospel music.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bean McNeill; sons Darrell "DJ" McNeill, Jr. and wife Cathie of Pinehurst, James "Danny" McNeill and wife Kathy of Sanford; daughter Lana Mashburn and husband Paul of Sanford; brother Larry McNeill and wife Carolyn of Carthage; sisters Pricilla Gordon and husband Jimmy of Goldston, Sylvia Jean McNeill of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home Saturday from 6:00 —8:00 PM and other times at the residence.
