David Edward “Ed” Chriscoe, 72, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August, 3, 2018 at Bright Light Baptist Church, with the Reverend Ralph VonCannon  officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ed was born in Winchester, VA to the late David & Virginia Knight Chriscoe. Moving to the Westmoore Community when he was two years old, this became his home. Along with carpentry, he worked at Lucks, Inc and Westmoore Elementary School. Always finding ways to serve his community, Ed was a charter member of Westmoore Volunteer Fire Department and remained an active member until his passing. He also served as a Deacon at his home church, Bright Light Baptist in Robbins, NC. Seeming to never meet a stranger, Ed was known for his selflessness and work ethic. He was also very dedicated to his family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Charles & Joe Chriscoe.

Ed is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sue Yow Chriscoe; daughter, Jamie Chriscoe; son, Justin Chriscoe and wife Janet. He was also a proud Papaw to four grandchildren: Lindy (father, Timmy Wiseman), Dylan, Dustin, and Dawson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Kennedy Funeral Home and other times at the home.
