Denton H. 'Rib' Frye

Denton H. "Rib" Frye, age 82, of Legion Hut Road died Tuesday (December 5, 2006) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Summer Hill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. L.M. Williamson. Burial will follow with military honors in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Willie Martin and Annie Jane Reynolds Frye. He an Army veteran of WWII and was owner and operator of Moore County Exterminating Company until his retirement. He was preceded in death by: three sisters, two brothers and a grandson.
Survivors include: his wife of 57 years Gladys Whitaker Frye; daughter Betty Jean Smith and husband Jerry of Clemmons, NC; sons Jimmy Lee Frye and wife Carolyn of Carthage and Ronald Keith Frye and wife Elaine of Carthage; brother Fletcher Frye of Carthage; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and following the service in the church fellowship hall, and other times at the residence.
