Dewey G. "Coolum" Freeman, age 56 of Smithfield, formerly of Carthage, died Sunday (April 22, 2007) at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A. M. Tuesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church conducted by Father Scott McCue. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of Regina Jones, 1306 Pineview Drive in Garner, NC.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Summer Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, near Carthage, conducted by Monsignor Jeffery Ingham.
He was a son of Veda Fuquay Freeman and the late Dewey Freeman.
Survived by; mother Veda F. Freeman of Carthage; two sisters Catherine Freeman of Smithfield and Carolyn F. Bailey of Smithfield; five nieces; two nephews; two great-
nieces; ten great nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00 —7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.
