Dollie McNeill Maness 80, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Siler City Center, surrounded by her family.

 

Funeral Service will be 2 :00 PM, Friday, January 29,  2016 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend David Woodhouse officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Dollie was a native of Moore County. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her family, home and the family poultry farm.  Her pride and joy were her grandkids. Dollie was a faithful member of her church, Sunday School class and Women’s Society. Dollie had a sweet and caring heart that she shared with everyone she met. She was a daughter of the late Causie Lee and Maggie Cheek McNeill and was preceded in death by her husband L G Maness.

 

Dollie is survived by sons: Alan Maness and wife Donna, of Greer, SC, Richard Maness and wife Roberta, of Whispering Pines, Doyle Maness, of Robbins daughter: Donna Ritter and husband Farrell of Bennett, grandchildren: Ali Maness Holley and husband Jason, Will and Matthew Maness, Jessica and Stephanie Maness and Farrah and Zach Ritter; great grandson: William McNeill Holley; many other family members and friends.   

 

The family will receive friends following the service in the Smyrna Family Life Center and at other times at the home.  At Dollie’s request there will not be a public viewing.
