Donald T. Seawell, age 65 of 356 Putnam Church Road died Sunday (October 21, 2007) at his residence.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Community Friends Church in Carthage conducted by the Rev. Bob Marsh and Rev. Joey Greene. Burial will follow in Putnam Friends Church Cemetery.
A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Terry and Dorothy McDowell Seawell. He graduated from Highfalls School and the Barber School of Durham. He worked as a Barber in Highfalls and Carthage for 46 years and was a faithful active member of Community Friends Church. He was a loving father and grandfather. His grandchildren were the light of his life whether he was cheering for them at ball games, or playing and picking with them at home.
He is survived by: His wife Barbara Sessoms Seawell; children Keith Seawell and wife Kim of Randleman, Lynne Turner and husband Shannon of Carthage, Tammy Seawell of Robbins; sister Ruth Crabb of Carthage; brothers Wendell Seawell of Asheboro, Wayne Seawell of Fort Pierce, FL, Larry Seawell of West End; grandchildren Brittany and Haley Seawell, Stacie, Jamie, Casey and Jodi Turner, Miranda and Dalton Craven; aunt Reatha Watson of Aberdeen; Uncle Waldo Seawell of Windfall, IN.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 —8:00 PM and other times at the residence.
