Dora Mae Cockman Monroe, 90, of 312 Flint Hill Church Road, died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, January 12 at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Fred Richardson and the Rev. Brad Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Hill Cemetery, Carthage.
Mrs. Monroe was preceded in death by husband, Manly Kitchen Monroe and son, Manly Farrell Monroe. She was a textile worker at Robbins Mill until retirement. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Carthage, North Carolina.

Daughter, Vickie Garner of Robbins
Son, John Monroe and wife, Donna of Biscoe
Daughter, Linda Caviness and husband, Van of Robbins
Son, Charlie Monroe and wife, Elizabeth of Robbins
Daughter, Debbie Seawell and husband, Wilbert of Robbins
Daughter-In-Law, Darlene Monroe of Bredenton, Florida

1 Great-Great Grandchild
The family will receive friends 7:00 PM-9:00 PM Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins and other times at the home.
