Doris Asbill Bunnell, age 87, of Cameron died Saturday (August 27, 2016) at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 Tuesday at Cypress Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Barbara Hedin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late James Earl and Maggie Dowdy Asbill. She retired from Arden Mills in Sanford where she worked in shipping.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Haywood Bunnell who passed away in 1990; her sister Mary Harris and brothers Ray and Vernon Asbill.  

 

She is survived by: son Carlin Bunnell and wife Suzanne of Cameron: daughter Margaret Blue and husband Gary of Cameron; sister Gladys Barker of Carthage; brother Sam Asbill of Carthage; grandchildren Jeffrey Bunnell and wife Dianne, Amy Chisholm and husband Michael, Crystal Francisco and husband Isom and Hayley Blue; great-grandchildren Clifton, Clayton, Katy, Nathan, Clayton, Drake, Taylor, Callie and Lucas; great-great-grandson Carter.

 

The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage on Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and other times at the home of Margaret and Gary Blue.
