Mrs.Doris Jones Brooks,95 died Thursday at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mrs. Brooks was born July 7, 1913 in Sumter, SC to the late Marvin W. and Daisy Odom Jones. She was a long time resident of Pinebluff, and a member of Ives Memorial Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P. M. Sunday,July 5th at Ives Memorial Baptist Church in Pinebluff with Rev. Don Ballenger officiating. Burial will follow in Pinebluff Cemetery.
Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband Preston Paul Brooks in 1975. Survivors include her daughter, Azalea B. Autry of Southern Pines, son, Paul Brooks of Pinebluff,one sister, Rachel J. Webb of San Antonio, Texas, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P. M. Saturday at Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
Memorials may be made to Ives Memorial Baptist Church or to a charity of ones choice.
