Dorothy “Dot” Carlyle, 89, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Peak Resources Pinelake, surrounded by family.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at White Hill Presbyterian  Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at her home.

Dot  was a long time resident of Moore County.  She was employed by Carthage Fabrics for 50 years. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family gatherings were one of her most favorite activities. Dot enjoyed reading, traveling and was famous for cooking fried apple pies. She attended Carthage Church of God for many years until her health declined. She was a daughter of the late Eugene and Ethel Wicker Bennett and was preceded in death by husband: Hubert “HC” (1985); sons: Ray Caryle (1965), Donald Carlyle (2019); sister: Grace Jackson.

Dot is survived by children: Robert Carlyle, Barbara Carlyle Meggs and husband Johnny, Michael Carlyle, Martha Carlyle Cagle and husband Steve; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister: Sue Nunnery; nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moore County Library Book Mobile Program.
