Dorothy Mae Davis Foxx, age 87 of High Falls died Friday (July 24, 2009) at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Monday at New Bensalem Baptist Church at High Falls. There will be a public viewing on Sunday from 2:00 —5:00 PM at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home and from 12:00 —2:00 PM Monday at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of Artie and Maddie Petty Davis and a mother of 18 children. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Foxx and five sons. She retired from North Moore High School where she worked for many years and was know and loved by everyone. She also worked as a C.N.A. for the Moore County Department of Aging and loved to fish.

She is survived by: nine sons Harold Foxx of Hempstead, NY. Charlie Foxx of Patchague, NY, Patrick and Paul Foxx both of High Falls, Ronnie Foxx of Fayetteville, Bill Foxx of Hempstead, NY,Walter Foxx of Robbins, Anthony Foxx of Sanford, Christopher Foxx of Greensboro; four daughters Phyllis Rodman of High Falls, Pam Brown of Cameron, Penelope Dowd of High Falls and Annie Faulk of Vass; a sister Essie Brooks of Chipley, FL; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and relatives and friends
