Doug Williams

Doug Williams, 80, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at his home.

 

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Needhams Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Edwin Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM prior to the service and at other times at the home.

 

A native of Moore County, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Doug worked at Ramtex Industry for 48 years. He enjoyed raising cows, gardening of all kinds and fishing.  He enjoyed time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doug a son of the late Gilbert Hussey and Rona Moore and was preceded in death by granddaughter, Stacie Williams, sister: Louise Maness and brothers: Wilbert Dee Moore and Howard Moore.

 

Doug is survived by his wife of 50 years, Becky Williams;  sons: Dean Williams, of Robbins, Jamie Williams and wife Sandra, of Seagrove; grandchildren: David Williams, Sharon Crabtree and husband Jack, great grandchildren: Seth, Joseph and Logan, sisters: Wilma Davis, Valleen Maness and Betty Garner and brothers; Rancie Moore, Jr., Marvin Moore and Roy Moore
