Duncan Calvin 'Dunk' McKenzie

Duncan Calvin "Dunk" McKenzie, age 83, died Monday (November 20, 2006) at Pinelake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Culdee Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Chris Bobo.
A native of Moore County (Eastwood community), he was the youngest son of the late Daniel Kenneth McKenzie and Callie Lee McKenzie of Doubs Chapel Road, West End. He served as a PHM 3C in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He worked with Moore County Government as a heavy equipment technician and operator in his later years. A Life Member of American Legion Post #350, Pinehurst, Life Member of DAV Chapter 83, Carthage and also a lifelong member of Culdee Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by brothers Maurice, Charles H. McKenzie.
He is survived by: two sisters Esther McKenzie Bosworth of Pinehurst and Helen McKenzie (Garrison) Wright of West End and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
