Earsie Kiser Simpson, age 80 of Cameron died Friday (1-21-2011) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Yates-Thagard Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Steve Johnson and the Rev. Darrell Garner. Burial will follow in Pineywood Baptist Church Cemetery.
A native of Scotland County she was a daughter of the late Ollie Kiser and Holly Hicks Kiser. She and her husband the late Martin Simpson owned and operated several businesses. They operated a gas station and country store and also a grill. Later they ran the House of Flowers in Vass. Mrs. Simpson was also a nurse and worked at Moore Regional Hospital for many years.
She was preceded in death by; sisters Gladys Randall and Alta Tudryn; brother Corbin Kiser.
She is survived by: daughters Christine Roberts and husband David of Garner, Karen Jones and husband Don of Falkland, NC, Nancy Cameron and husband James of Cameron; son Marty Simpson and wife Cheryl of Raleigh; sister Hazel Bearse and husband Bill of MA; brother Claytie Kiser and wife Nancy of Carthage; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Claytie and Nancy Kiser.
