Edith Lathan Blue

Mrs. Edith Lathan Blue, age 80 of 369 Shady Grove Road, died Wednesday (February 14, 2007) at her home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday at Eureka Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Lewis Blue. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Homestead, FL and a daughter of the late Clonie and Myrtle Biles Lathan. She retired from Moore Regional Hospital as a registered nurse and also did private duty nursing. Her husband Fred Short Blue and a brother Deatrice "Dee" Lathan preceded her in death.
She is survived by: five daughters Jeri Collins of Carthage, Margaret Lathan of Phoenix, AZ, Marylyn Rogers, Jean Blue and Myrtle Ward all of Carthage; two sons David Blue and Randy Blue both of Carthage; four sisters Maxine Nichols of Rockingham, Anne Hayes of Whiteville, Betty Thomas of Fayetteville and Marie Windsor of Detroit, MI; one brother Marvin Lathan of Branson, MO; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home Sunday from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at the residence.
