Edith Bailey Marsh, age 85 of Carthage died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at her home.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Red Branch Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Mike Branscom. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior the the service beginning at 1:00.

 

A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Martin and Ina Fields Bailey. She was a longtime member of Red Branch Baptist Church and worked as an inspector for 18 years at Quality Mills.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Vernon Marsh.

 

She is survived by her children Tommie Lynn Poindexter and husband Tommy of Sanford, Sylvia Marsh of Garner, Kenneth Marsh of Carthage and Robin Dunlap and husband Andy of Southern Pines; one brother Charles Bailey of Greensboro; grandchildren Laura Watson, Heather Hancock, Meredith Ward, Marshall Ward, Elizabeth Marsh, Trevor Gibbons, Hayden Dunlap and Connor Dunlap; one great-grandson Hunter Watson.

 

Memorials may be made Red Branch Baptist Church, 1748 Old River Road, Carthage, NC 28327.

  3. Tommie, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Losing your mother is an especially hard time. Having lost my mother 6 months ago, I can sympathize in your heartbreaking time of need.
