Elbert F. Junior ? Cockman, Jr., 73, of 245 Moore Street, Robbins, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at his home.
Funeral service will held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church of which Mr. Cockman was a member, with the Rev. Jim Stalnaker, the Rev. Clarence Garner, and the Rev. Wilson Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Rest Cemetery, with Masonic Rites.
Surviving are:
Wife, Betty Jo Cockman of the home.
Daughter, Roxanne C. Monroe and husband, Timmy of Robbins.
Granddaughter, Ashley M. Green and husband, Chad of Bennett.
Two great grandsons, Dakota and Carson Green of Bennett.
Sister, Helen C. Phillips of Glendon.
Brother, Jimmy L. Cockman and wife, Lois of Robbins.
Junior was a native of Moore County, son of the late Elbert F. and Grace Garner Cockman. He was retired from Moore County Schools Maintenance Department. He was a member of the Elise Masonic Lodge #555.
The family will receive friends at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins on Saturday, November 1 from 6:30-8:30 PM, and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 1535 North Moore Road, Robbins, N. C. 27325 or to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, N. C. 28374.
