Eleanor R. Higgins

SOUTHERN PINES- Mrs Eleanor Ridley Higgins ,age 97, died Saturday, February 7 at Penick Village.
Eleanor was born in Sanford, ME To the late William T. and Addie Goodwin Ridley. She was a graduate of Gorham Normal School and taught at public schools in ME. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Hayward W. Higgins and their only daughter Joan Alcorn.
A graveside service will be held in Mapleton, ME at a later date.
Survivors include her two sons, Woody R Higgins and wife ,Penny of Southern Pines, N. C. and Floyd Higgins and wife, Ena of Southbury, CT, six grandchildren and, 6 grear grandchildren , and her- son- in law Robert Alcorn of Pinehurst, N. C.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Southern Pines or to Mapleton Baptist Church of Mapleton, ME.
