Elgene Copeland

Elgene Willard Copeland, age 85 of West End died Monday (November 10, 2014) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Doub’s Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Laura Dunlap. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late John Henry Willard and Annie Belle Hannon Willard. Elgene worked for Pinehurst Inc. early in life and later worked with Cole’s Electric and most recently worked as manager of the Village Chapel Bargain Box.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kermit Copeland and a sister Idelle Willard Evans.
She is survived by: Rose Copeland Sessoms and Alice Copeland Stewart both of West End; grandchildren Jay Sessoms and wife Jennifer of Fayetteville, Justin Stewart and wife Stephanie of West End; great grandchildren Estelle and Copeland.
