Mrs. Elizabeth 'Betty' M Rietschel, age 91, died Friday (11/16/2012) at The Coventry in Southern Pines, NC.
She was born in Phillips, Maine the daughter of the late Truman E. Masterman & Martha Connell Masterman. She was a graduate of Phillips High School and the Northeastern School of Business. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carl Rietschel; a daughter, Janet Martha Horst of Richmond, Va and a son, John Masterman Rietschel of West River, Maryland.
She is survived by a son, Carl Rietschel, Jr. and wife, Harriet of Trinity, NC; grandchildren, William Rietschel & wife, Stephanie of Trinity; Matthew Rietschel & wife, Kelly of Fallston, MD; Dr. John Rietschel of Baltimore, MD; Stephen Rietschel & wife, Allyson of Baltimore, MD; Melanie Hartman & husband, Ian of Richmond, VA; Sarah Chittum & husband, Garrett of Richmond, VA; Shawn Horst of Richmond, VA; five great grandchildren.
Interment and graveside services will be in Phillips, Maine in the spring of 2013.
