Elizabeth “Beth” Pierceall Coode, age 48 of Glendon died Thursday (July 24, 2014) at Firsthealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

 

A memorial service will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Glendon Independent Christian Church conducted by the Rev. Brian Beane and the Rev. Tony Capehart. The family will be receiving friends at the home in Glendon.

 

Born in Durham, Beth was an accomplished musician. She played violin through school and later belonged to many choruses and singing groups within various churches. She graduated with her R.N. Degree from Presbyterian College in Charlotte and worked for many years as a cardiac nurse at Presbyterian Hospital, and also worked as first assistant on the Neurosurgery team for Dr. Stephen Hipp in Charlotte. After moving to Moore County she volunteered in recovery at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital and also Moore Free Clinic.

 

She is survived by: a son Jim Coode of Charlotte; parents David and Nancy (Street) Pierceall of Glendon, brother Todd Pierceall of Gastonia; grandmother Jean Street of Glendon.
