Elizabeth Campbell Quinn, 94, died peacefully at home surrounded by family March 6, 2017.

 

A memorial service will be held at Powell Funeral Home and Crematory in Southern Pines, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 10:00AM.

 

Elizabeth was born in Newark, NJ and lived with her husband and children in Cedar Grove, NJ. After retirement, Elizabeth and her husband, Robert, moved to Seven Lakes, NC in 1986 and enjoyed playing golf in the area. For 25 years, Elizabeth spent time volunteering at the Essex County Overbrook Hospital in New Jersey, and she was a member of the Essex county Country Club for 20 years. While in Seven Lakes, she volunteered at the West End Elementary School helping children learn to read, which helped many children and allowed her to give back to the community.

 

She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Wesley Quinn, parents, Walter and Elizabeth Campbell, and sons, Robert Wesley Quinn, Jr. and John Thomas Quinn.

 

She is survived by two children, one daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Quinn of Pinehurst, NC, one son, Deacon Gregory Campbell Quinn (Patricia) of Singer Island, FL., seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
