Elizabeth VanDusen

Elizabeth (Betty) Van Dusen, 97, died on May 27th 2010 at Penick Village.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William D. Van Dusen and is survived by her son, Charles (Sally) Van Dusen of Michigan, three daughters, Julie (Don) Gardner and Harriet Daigle of Colorado, and Elizabeth (Dexter) Bucklin of New Hampshire, as well as seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Betty and Bill lived in Metamora, MI for nearly 45 years before retiring to Pinehurst, NC. They later moved to Penick Village in Southern Pines. Betty was affiliated with the League of Women Voters, Grace Episcopal Church, and the Camp Holiday Board of Directors in Michigan. In Southern Pines, she was actively involved with the Sandhills Community College Foundation Board, Episcopal Day School, and Penick Village.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, June 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Southern Pines.
