Ella Mae Jordan Phillips, age 89 died Tuesday (February 16, 2010) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday at Glendon Christian Church conducted by The Rev. Joe Johnson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Guilford she was a daughter of the late John T. Jordan and Catherine Seawell Jordan. Her husband Vernon Phillips who died in 2003 preceded her in death. She worked in textiles during her early years and spent most of her life as a homemaker raising her children and helping her husband garden and farm.
She is survived by: a daughter Cathy Brady and husband Charlie of Carthage; sons Leon Phillips and wife Peggy, Ricky Phillips and wife Jennie, Michael Phillips and wife Patty all of Carthage; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 —8:00 PM at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home
