Ellena Hussey Sidur 76, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at FirstHealth Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC after a year long battle with cancer..
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend Tal Madison officiating. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Sidur was the daughter of the late Fentress and Zola Needham Hussey and wife of the late Stephen Sidur. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Neena loved her family and was always hosting family gatherings and meals. She enjoyed laughing and sharing in good fellowship with everyone she met.
She is survived by her sons: Chuck Wood, of Jacksonville, Bob Wood, of Raleigh, daughters: Bonnie Taylor and husband Allen, of Dudley, Kim Wood, of Randleman, Susan Garner and husband Dean, of Robbins, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, brothers: Gerald Hussey and Clyde (Bud) Hussey; sisters: Katie Rodgers, Estelle Wallace, Margaret Upchurch, Hilda Morgan, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Kennedy Funeral Home.241 N. Middleton Street, Robbins, NC 27325.
