Elsie Nunnery, age 100 died Sunday at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Eugene Ussery. Burial will follow at Cross Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 1:00.
A native of Carbonton she was a daughter of the late Jack and Emma Smith Nall. Elsie worked several years as a day care operator. Just two weeks ago she and her family celebrated her 100th birthday.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Bryant Nunnery; son Roger; son-in-law James Frye; sisters Audrey Frye, Alice Faye Stutts; brothers Warren, John, Jay, Charles, Will and Clarence; 2 granddaughters Teresa Nunnery and Mary Ellen Nunnery.
She is survived by her daughter Ruth Frye; sons Johnny Nunnery, Henry Nunnery and wife Ruby, Chuck Nunnery and wife Leta, Richard Nunnery and wife Gloria (Crickett); brother Gurney Nall; sister Mary Brewer; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
