Ernest Lee "Dinky" Greene, age 65 of Carthage, died Friday ((April 9, 2010) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Crossroads Community Church conducted by Evangelist David Bibey. Burial will follow in Cross Hill Cemetery.
A native of Moore County, he was a son of the late Moffitt Avery Greene and Mable Rouse Greene Freeman. He was an equipment operator with the N. C. Department of Transportation. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and loved going to the beach.
He is survived by: two sons Lee Greene and Dennis Greene both of Carthage; a sister Elouise Ward and husband Ralph of Ellerbe; three grandchildren: Kristal, Beulah, and Brittani; nephews and nieces Shelton, James, Vincent and Terria Brewer, Regina Ward.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at the church.
