Ethel Maie Hoover

Ethel Maie Goins Hoover 89, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC, surrounded by her family.

 

Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2016  at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Jackson Springs, with the Reverend Otis Goins officiating.  

 

Ethel was a native of Montgomery County. She loved the Lord and witnessed to all about His Grace and Mercy.  She loved to pray for others and read her Bible.  Ethel loved gospel music and playing her guitar. She worked outside the home in the textile and healthcare industries for many years.  Ethel loved her family and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed her dogs and the joy they gave her. She was a daughter of the the late Bertis and Ellen Thomas Wood and was preceded in death by husbands: Sanford Goins and Lonzo Hoover; son: Stanton Goins.

 

Ethel is survived by daughters: Sandra Goins, of the home, Lois Powell, of Mt Gilead, Carolyn Overton and husband Edgar, of Troy; sons: Larry Goins and wife Debbie, of Albemarle, Bruce Goins and wife Jackie, of Robbins, Terry Goins and wife Christine, of Star; sisters: Mae Saunders, Ann White; brother: Efford Thomas; 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

 

The family would like to give a special thank you to daughter, Sandra for the loving care given to her mother.
