Eugene Edward Stone, 75, died Friday at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday January 14, 2009 at Glendon Independent Christian Church with Rev. Joe Johnson and Rev. Bob Yandle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born March 24, 1933 in Guilford County he was a son of the late Robert and Mary Ila Phillips Stone.
Mr. Stone retired after thirty years as a mechanic with Guilford County school system and was a member of Glendon Independent Christian Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Osborn and husband, Steve of Archdale, two sons, Larry Stone and wife, Rhonda of Climax, and Kenny Stone of Thomasville, one brother, Bobby Stone and wife, Rosemary of Carthage, one granddaughter, Janie Stanley and husband, Kenny, two grandsons, Adam and Dawson Stone, three great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Tristan Stanley and Chasten Kota.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fry-Prickett Funeral Home.
