Oliver Eugene Richardson, age 47, of Cameron, formerly of Sanford died Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in Hendersonville, NC, where he was working as a superintendent with Carolina Commercial Contractors.
A native of Lee County he was a son of Joyce Bass Page and the late Robbie Lee Page, Eugene married Tonia McCrimmon on March 25, 2000 and together they had one daughter Kaitlyn Richardson.
Eugene was a hard worker and was well respected anywhere he worked. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, and playing ball. He was a devoted husband, son, friend, uncle, brother, and father.
He was preceded in death by his sister Bobbie Sue Page.
In addition to his wife Tonia, daughter Kaitlyn and mother Joyce, he is survived by his siblings Chris Page of Sanford, Denna Tickle and husband Michael of Cameron, Donna Davis of Broadway, Tammy Graveen and husband Rick of Wilmington; Sherry Deal and husband Chad of Sanford. He is also survived by his 10 nephews, and 3 nieces, 5 great nephews and 3 great nieces.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Friday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Garner, Eugene Ussery and Scott Yow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00.
