Evelyn W. Nielson, 91, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at The Inn at Quail Haven in Pinehurst.
Born February 26, 1918 in Baltimore, Mayland she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William
T. Wright and wife of the late Irving (Swede) Nielsen.
Mrs. Nielsen was a special education teacher and a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Sigrid MacPherson, Houston, TX two sons, Bill Nielsen of Seattle, Washington, and Tom Nielsen of Edmond, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will held on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with Rev. John Tampa officiating.
Memorials may be to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Altar Guild Fund.

  2. As a Past President of the Silver Foils, I am very sorry to hear of the death of Evelyn Nielsen, one of our Silver Foils Life Members and regret that we did not receive the information in time to show our condolences.

  3. as well asI knew evelyn and as many times as we played golf we never talked about our familys so i didn’t realize that she was also a wright. I am truly sorry that we didn’t because we may have had family in common.
