Evelyn McDonald Sheffield went to her heavenly home on January 26,2013. She was born on November 23,1920 to Alice and Archie McDonald. She was preceeded in death by her parents and siblings: Estelle, Viola, Christine, Edith, Mary, Archie Jr, and Frank, and grandson, Derek Black.
She worked for many years in textiles, retitring from JP Stevens (Gullistan Co.) after 35 years in 1985.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Black, Grandson Forrest Black, Great-Grandson Drew Black, Great-Grandaughter Ashlee Black, Sister Margaret Huffman or Winston Salem, and her special nieces and nephews. Friend Betty Blackm and her special caregiver Renee Johnson, who took such good care of her during her struggle with dementia.
Memorials may be made to McDonalds Chapel Presbyterian Church, 1374 Foxfire Rd, Aberdeen, NC. or a Favorite Charity.
Serivces will be held at McDonalds Chapel Presbyterain Church on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at 2 p.m. for visitation, and 3 p.m. service. Viewing will be at the church before the service and visitation with the family following the service in the fellowship hall.
