Alice Faye Nall Mercer, age 74, of Carthage passed away Sunday (February 16, 2014) at her home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Eugene Ussery and Pastor John Chavis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A native of Moore County she was one of 11 children born to Jack and Alma Smith Nall. Faye graduated from Lenoir Community College with her CNA and worked as a private duty nurse for many years.

She was preceded in death by: her husband Billy Mercer and a daughter Brenda Stutts.

She is survived by: her children Tommy Stutts, Felicia Phillips and husband Lee, Billy Mercer and wife Cherri all of Carthage; sisters Elsie Nunnery of Carthage, Mary Brewer of Goldston; brother Gurney Nall of High Point; grandchildren Jason Blackburn and wife Heather, Whitney Blackburn, Tina McNeill and husband Chris, Mary Ann Cook and husband Waylon, Toni Payne and husband Eric, Philip Picerno, Brant Mercer and Kennedie Mercer; 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home and other times at the home.
