Fermon Douglas Davis, 90,  went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

Funeral  Service will be 3:00 PM, Friday, August 30, 2024 at Needhams Grove Baptist Church, with the Reverend DJ Harry, and Reverend Arnold Comer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his son Wayne Davis..

Fermon was a mechanic for Southern Equipment for over 40 years. He loved the Lord and was a member of Needhams Grove Baptist where he was a past Deacon. Fermon loved camping and fishing at the lake and trips to the mountains, with his wife Jackie.  He enjoyed nature and was most happy working with his hands, riding a tractor and growing things on the farm. He enjoyed all times spent with his family.  Fermon was preceded in death by his parents Bob Williams and Alice Davis Yow; wife: Ruby Jacqueline “Jackie”; grandson: Brian Davis.

Fermon is survived by son: Wayne Davis and wife Gail; grandchildren: Steve Davis and wife Pam, Ronald Davis;  great grandchildren: Kelly, Ashley, Joe, Isaiah, Jonah; great grandson: Owen; many nieces, nephews and friends.
