Floyd Lee Rorie, age 66, died Saturday at Tara Plantation in Carthage.
A memorial service is planned for 3:00 PM Tuesday at Red Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott McInnis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church.
A native of Moore County, he was the son of the late Floyd Cecil Rorie and Eunice Thompson Rorie. He was a graduate of Sandhills Community College and owned and operated Carthage Saw & Mower.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Betty Burt Rorie; one son, Patrick Rorie of Raleigh; two sisters, Marie Bailey of Southern Pines and Jean McNeill of Aberdeen; one brother, Joseph Rorie of Southern Pines; and one granddaughter, Alexia Nora Rorie of Raleigh.
