Frances Sheffield Stanley 89, died Monday, November 17, 2014 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

 

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Crossroads Baptist Church, where she was a charter member, with the Reverend Mike Holyfield and Reverend Jacob Camp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Frances was a native of Moore County and worked in the textile industry for many years. She loved the Lord and her church.  She also loved her family and spending time with them, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables and was a great cook. Feeding her grandchildren one of her delicious home cooked meals gave her the greatest joy.

 

Frances was a daughter of the late Ernest Carson and Nepsie Mae Cockman Marley. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Alson Sheffield and Ben Stanley; brothers: Grady, Milton, Walter, Tracy Marley; sister: Annie Pearl Buie.

 

Frances is survived by daughter: Lois Ritter and husband Vernie, of Seagrove; sisters: Martha Love, of Ramseur, Prilla Brown, of Seagrove; grandchildren: Bryan Ritter and wife, Penny, Bradley Ritter and wife Tara, Kristie Howard and husband Jamie, all of Robbins; great-grandchildren: Jeremy, Hannah, Logan and Calleigh.  

 

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Autumn Care of Biscoe for their care and support.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church, 6787 NC Hwy. 705, Robbins, NC 27325.
