Frankie Trotter McCaskill, age 81, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her home in Robbins after a brief illness.

A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Trotter, also of Robbins. Frankie was an avid Duke fan, but enjoyed all sports. Frankie won the title of Miss Moore County in 1956, a sixty-one year member of the Grand Chapter of North Carolina Order of the Eastern Star and a loving wife, mother, and Nana.

Frankie was co-owner of The Flower Box and Gifts where she enjoyed designing floral arrangements, and she retired from the Moore County Planning Department. She was a life-long member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by husband Harold, sister Fleta Mae, and her parents.

She is survived by her sons, Victor McCaskill and wife Debbie of Rockingham and Mitch McCaskill and wife Lisa of Level Cross, brother Al Trotter and wife Gay of Burlington, sister Ingrid Steele and husband Walt of Charlotte, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

A private memorial service will be held.

  1. Frankie was always nice to me….going through High School with her kids, at her florist. In recent years we spoke at the grocery store. She will be missed.

  2. Frankie was always nice to me. I would see her around town, grocery store mainly but it has been a long while since our paths have crossed. I knew her parents and her Grandmother Trotter. She came from a wonderful family and she and her family were an asset to the community also. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Read Psalm 23 and John 14 for comfort, help and strength during your time of grief!!! Jesus cares for you!!!!

  4. My heartfelt Sympathy for all of Frankies family! She always had a smile wherever you saw her and I’ve known her and her family all my life! My parents bought most of their furniture from her Dad Frank Trotters furniture store in Robbins! She was a Beautiful lady!
