Carthage:
Fred Lee Brown, 73 died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at his home in Carthage.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM. Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Brown was a native of Moore County; he retired in 1998 from Norfolk Southern Railway and spent his retired time between Pensacola, Fl. and his farm in Carthage.
Surviving is his wife of 52 years Ruby Brown of the home.
Sons: Anthony Neil Brown and wife Chau M. Brown and Todd Branson Brown and wife Valerie L. Brown.
Grandchildren: Jason C. Brown, Sophia E. Brown, Chloe A.O. Brown, Stella R.M. Brown and Summer E.L. Brown.
Sister: May Kennedy of Robbins and numerous friends and family members.
