Fred Edwin Wallace 72, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at FirstHealth Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC, surrounded by his family.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Flint Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Reverend William Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Wallace was a native of Moore County. Fred worked in the textile industry for Robbins Mill and Carthage Fabrics. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Fred enjoyed vegetable gardening and raising goats. He was a son of the late Claude C. Wallace and was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Diane Wallace.
Fred is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rumona, sons: Tim Wallace and wife Pam, of Glendon, Mark Wallace, of Robbins, grandson, Tyler Wallace, mother, Annie Mae Wallace, of Robbins, brothers: William Wallace (Estelle), Bobby Wallace (Linda) and Claude 'Junior' Wallace.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Kennedy Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Memorial may be made to First Health Hospice Foundation, 151 Applecross, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Wallace family.
