Fred Webster ? Poe, Jr; 78 of Spies Rd. died Wednesday, July 01, 2009 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM. Friday, July 3, 2009 at First Wesleyan Church, Robbins, where he was a member, with the Rev. Wilson Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Rest cemetery with Military Honors.
Mr. Poe was a native of Moore County, he was a Retired US Air Force Staff Sergeant, and he was a cattle farmer. His parents Fred Poe Sr. and Eva Lemons Poe and two brothers preceded him in death: Earl and Roy Poe.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Norma Poe.
Sons: Danny Poe of Robbins and Charles Poe of Fayetteville.
Daughter: Vickie Hancock and husband Kenneth of Robbins.
Grandchildren: Brian Hancock and Stacy Seawell and her husband Jonathan.
Great-grandchildren: Joshua and Selah Hancock.
Brother: Thomas Poe and wife Judy of Seagrove.
Sister: Mary Lou Barber and husband Fred of Aberdeen.
Sister-in-law: Edith Poe.

I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR THAT MR POE HAD PASSED AWAY. MR POE WAS IN A BOWLING LEAGUE WITH MY FATHER (HOWARD BROOKS) AND I KNEW HIM FROM SELLING CATTLE AT CAROLINA STOCKYARD. HE ALWAYS MADE A POINT TO COME IN THE OFFICE AND SPEAK TO ME AND ASK ABOUT MY FAMIL
