Frieda K. Swain, age 68 of Swain Lane died Saturday (January 19, 2008) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral Services will be 6:00 PM Tuesday at Cornerstone Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Joe Needham. Another service will be held 1:00 PM Friday at Waite and Son Funeral Home in Medina, OH. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron, OH.
A native of Medina County, OH she was a daughter of the late Edward and Ida Borling Hofstetter. She was an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where she was the organist and pianist for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband David Michael Swain who died in 1989 and a brother Daniel J. Hofstetter who died in 2007.
She is survived by: daughter Lisa Bennett and husband Peter of West End, NC; son David Swain and wife Sheila of West End, NC; sister Norma Becker of Medina, OH; brothers Edward Hofstetter of Sharon Center, OH, Robert Hofstetter of Medina, OH, Tommy Hofstetter and Ray Hofstetter both of Wadsworth, OH; grandchildren Adam Hinesley, Caitlin Swain, Houston Douglas and Seth Swain.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage, NC and Thursday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Waite and Son Funeral Home in Medina, OH.
