Gail Jackson Faircloth, age 64, of West End died Wednesday (February 26, 2014) at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late William Herbert Jackson and Ethel Kate Jackson. She was a graduate of Sandhills Community College where she received a degree in substance abuse counseling. While at Sandhills she was selected as Who’s Who Among Students for four years. She worked as a counselor at Samarkand Youth Development Center and later as a manager at Tommy's Crown in Pinehurst.

She was preceded in death by: her husband Denny Wayne Faircloth; sister Helen Black; brother Billy Jackson.

She is survived by: sons Greg Black and wife Carla, Brian Black and wife Stacie all of West End; sisters Jeanette "Susie" Hearne and Dorothy Jackson Wilkes both of Candor; brother June "Buck" Jackson of West End; grandchildren Brandon Black, Christopher Taylor and Heather McNeill.

  1. So sorry to hear of the passing of Gail. She had been a neighbor for years and I would see her go by nearly everyday as I was walking and I would also just see her van go by almost every day. She was a hard working lady and she will truly be missed.
