Geneva M. Smith, 97, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC. 

Geneva was preceded in death by husband: Leroy Smith; son: Leroy Smith, Jr.; mother: Dora M. Maness; son in law: Charles Brown; three brothers, two sisters. 

She is survived by daughter: Sue Brown, grandsons: Charles (Kristine), Keith (Dawn); great grandchildren: Jessica, CJ, Ryan, Jacklyn and Kara, all of Greensboro; brother: Percy Cox (Nancy), of Asheboro; sister: Mildred Brady, of Atlanta, Ga.

Geneva was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of  Robbins First Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sharing meals with family, church friends and others in the community.  Geneva was always most happy if she was helping others.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Robbins, N.C. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at Kennedy Funeral Home.
