Geneva Moore Ritter, 81, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC.

Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church, with Dr. John Williamson and Reverend Edwin Moore officiating.    Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Geneva was a native of Moore County.  She worked in textiles and on the family poultry farm.  She loved her flower garden and also watching the visiting hummingbirds.  Geneva was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She cared for many dogs over the years.and she loved her latest, “Lucy”.  She was a daughter of the late Harrison and Ethel Brown Moore and was preceded in death by husband Lacy Ritter and siblings: Warren Moore, Ruby Robinson, Alma Ledbetter and Thema Brown.  Her loving companion, “Rowdy” also preceded her in death.

Geneva is survived by daughter: Vicki Cagle and husband Billy; granddaughter: Shannon Sheffield and husband Adam; step grandchildren:  Diane Price and husband Tim, Leann Cagle; great grandson: Treaton; step great grandchildren: Patrick, Paige, Megan, Trevor, Carrie; 5 step great great grandchildren; brothers: Gilbert Moore, Kivan Moore; many nieces, nephews and friends 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice House, 150 Applecross Rd., Pinehurst, NC or your favorite animal charity.

  2. It was a blessing to get to meet Ms Geneva even though it was only for a short time. Y’all are in my thoughts and prayers.-
