George L. Morgan

George Lamon Morgan, 85, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, July 30, 2012.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, August 3, 2012 at First Wesleyan Church, Robbins, NC, with Reverend Sam Swinney officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Rest cemetery.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Lora Boone Morgan and sister Viola M. Auman.
George is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bernice L. Morgan, two sons, Ronnie W. Morgan and wife DeeDee, and Warren L. Morgan; three grandchildren: Ronnie Morgan, Jr., Dwayne Morgan and Amy D. Roth; two great grandchildren: Sara B. Morgan and Haley Roth; two brothers Vernie Morgan and Clanie Morgan; sister Edith M. Kennedy; many nieces and nephews. He was a devoted Christian and a person that will be truly missed by family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Jack and Edith Kennedy, 5524 NC 705, Robbins, NC
