Master Sgt. George Matthews Traver, Jr., age 35 of Carthage died Saturday at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Culdee Presbyterian Church Cemetery with full military honors.
A native of Schoharie Co., NY he entered into the U.S. Army in 1996. A complete list of his distinguished career will be posted when available.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary S. Barnes.
He is survived by his wife Jessica Koren Cox Traver; father George M Traver of Worcester, NY; brothers John Traver and son Avery of Gloucester, MA, Kris Traver and wife Theresa of Dallas, GA; mother and father in law John and Cindy (Short) Cox of Carthage; grandmother Mable LeRuzic of Cobleskill, NY; uncle and aunt Mark and Carol Traver of Schoharie, NY.
