Gerald L. Wright, 80, of Pinehurst, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Pinehurst Health and Rehab.
Mr. Wright was a former chief of police for the village of Pinehurst, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was the husband of the late Mildred Weatherspoon Wright.
Funeral: At a later date, directed by Powell Funeral Home and Crematory.
Survivors: daughters, Mary W. Futrell, Vass, and Geraldine W. Condosta, Holden Beach; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
