Gerushia Thomas Wrencher age 86, died Sunday night surrounded by her family at her home.

 

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at St. Peter United Church of God in Eastwood. Burial will follow at St. John United Church of God Cemetery in Carthage. A wake will be held at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage from 6:00 - 7:00 PM Friday and the family will receive friends other times at the home.

 

Born in Robbins North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Sarah Poole Thomas. An active church member all her life, she served in various positions in her church including Sunday school superintendent, choir director and president of the youth department. She served on the Mothers Board and was selected as Woman of Excellence for the United Church of God.

 

She is survived by: her husband Charles L. Wrencher; daughters Geneva Thomas Brower of Bronx, NY, Marie Brooks of Sanford, Barbara Harris and husband Ben of Eastwood, Denise Kyle of Aberdeen, Teresa Ross of Raeford, Monica Boston and husband Mike of Oak Grove, KY, Jackie Brown and husband Gary of Cameron; sons James Thomas and wife Donna of Muskegon. MI, John Wrencher of Baltimore, MD, Charles Wrencher, Jr. and wife Teresa of Joppa Town, MD, Conrad Wrencher and wife Kyndall of Cary, Clifton Wrencher and wife Drapondra of Montgomery, AL, Kenneth Wrencher and wife Barbara of Carthage; 34 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.
