Gladys King Hodges, 86, died Friday June 29th, 2012 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Ashley Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Huff officiating. Burial will follow at Ashley Heights Cemetery.
Born January 28, 1926 in Hoke County she was a daughter of the late R. D. and Nora Sides Strother and wife of the late J. W. King and Floyd Hodges.
Mrs. Hodges was a homemaker and a member of Ashley Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, John King of Aberdeen and Paul King of Raeford, one sister, Betty Jordan of Wilson, a half brother, Leland Strother of Raeford, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
The Family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines.

I always enjoyed my visits with Gladys, when I came home to Ashley Heights, I enjoyed seeing her garden and all of her beautiful flowers and listening to her stories. She was a beautiful person. My prayers and thoughts go out to the family. God Bless
